I was very disappointed the "Family Restaurant" didn't have a changing table in the restrooms. Place was run down, and when we went it was 11° outside and while waiting for food, the back door that couldn't be seen was left open and it made it extremely cold in there, the guy who I assumed was the owner closed it and cussed about it loudly to where all customers could hear. The burger I had was crunchy with char. The waitress was great though and was very attentive.

The food was great, cheap, and quick. The WiFi is open which is greatly appreciated (no sign in portal). My Bacon Waffle was delicious. The Diet Pepsi was lacking carbonation and tasted much different than usual, perhaps a filter needs changing?

This is the review of two visits on two consecutive days. Day 1 was a great experience. The server was on top of everything and was super friendly to us. The next day we came back after a great experience to have the total opposite. This day we had a different server and she checked on us 1 time. We had to flag down another guy to refill our drinks then waited about 10 min after we finished our food before we could even flag down our waitress for the check. We had our card out and tried to hand it to her but she was off. So we walked it up to the other person working to check us out. After that we will never return.

Omelet was flat, toast had a dollop of butter in the middle, wouldn't melt, because toast was cold.. Not to happy with this place.. Price's high for what you get!!!!

Fantastic food.Great service.Hard to find Restaurants like this .Great quality food.The pace is spotlesly clean.Nice folks.Coming threw town or live near..must give it a Try..You'll be glad you did.

Food is quick and simple, staff seems super friendly. The bathrooms were very gross, even if they were cleaned it still seemed to be falling apart. Not a dig on the food in anyway, but the overall experience was alright, no complaints beyond I couldn't even wash my hands without feeling dirty.

This is the second time we have gone to this establishment when traveling to burns. We will NEVER go again. You can get better food across the street at McDonalds. The first time we waited for over an hour to get cold food, we watched the cooks argue, the floor staff being just plain rude. This trip we had heard they had closed down, did retraining and hired new staff.. the same crew were there minus the kitchen, we could not see them. My husband ordered the pork chop breakfast, so over cooked you could even cut it with a serrated knife. We order OJ, it tasted fermented. They knocked $5 off the bill we still played $34 for the rest. Next morning we went to another establishment in town got the exact same meal...bigger portions, free refills on OJ, quick and friendly service.. for less cost.My husband recommends they close the doors on this place..

Great staff. Good food. Coffee was so-so. Restrooms need more attention. The waitress made us feel very welcome and always seemed to a smile on her face, under the face mask. Hamburger steak and eggs with hash browns was good but needed some seasoning. I think the bacon was dee fried, but tasty.

Both gals and the gentleman are friendly. Chicken Caesar salad is very good. Sandwiches are delicious, and desserts are wonderful! Wings and rings taste so good. This is definitely a hometown restaurant, so service is a little slow. Be prepared to take your time being here. Discount for hotel guests.

I love The Apple Peddler! My daughters both play club softball. Every time we have a tournament in Bend, We stop there on our way to it. They have a standing steak and egg speed dial that is very good and it breaks up our drive nicely. We all very much enjoy eating at this place.

The worst Apple Peddler I have ever eaten at. There were 5 of us and my friend asked for a soup they didn’t have any soup then she asked for a steak they didn’t have any steaks she asked for ranch dressing on her salad and she got blue cheese we told the server and she said it was ranch no it was blue cheese they didn’t have any ranch and the server read off a list of stuff they were out of, I would say about 8 items. The chicken bacon ranch wrap that I ordered had more salad than chicken or bacon and no ranch very dry, the fries were old. The server was wearing a mask BUT the cook was not. I will never eat here again!!!! The bathroom was disgusting.

The burger was way overcooked. It reminded me of the black part of an Oreo. Not kidding when I say it’s one of the worst burgers I’ve ever eaten. Service wasn’t great either the chef kept yelling at the waitress.

Do not order the French dip. It was awful. The aujus was brown water with no beef taste. The sandwich has 2 slices of deli roast beef that had no taste. Pretty sure it had gone bad. I sent it back and ordered a bowl of chili. It was canned chili that was drowning in chili powder and too spicy to eat normal. You had to let your mouth cool off between bites. The waitress was kind enough to only charge us for my husband's Reuben sandwich which was pretty good. The service was good.

Stopped in for Sunday breakfast. Service was amazing. Super nice waitress and very attentive. Great atmosphere, luv the small town vibe. The food was great and was served quickly. Coffee cup never went empty. Hope to stop in again.

Food was decent. But the place is disgusting. Food all the floor, somehow food on the blinds, dried food on the table and the sides. Dirt and dust all over the ledges. The bathrooms.......yeah, worse than most gas stations. Our server on the other hand was quite pleasant and friendly.

Trucker go in between the dollar tree and the pride station. To behind the dollar tree and the restaurant to park. Excellent food. Service is great. Good coffee. Yummy desserts. Can ask for more out here.

She seated us fast but then forgot about us!!! When she did order we were overly hurried. Ceiling needs work as things are falling down. And was seated in a obviously broken chair that I had to switch our myself cause like I said before we were seated and completely forgot about. Service is lacking. Still waiting for my coffee that I asked for 15 min ago before starting this rant

Awful everything. 6 of us stopped for lunch. We ordered a mix of burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast items. Fries were cold and stale. Kids breakfast came with tiny portions. Sausage and bacon burned. Iced tea had a strange film to it. Chicken wings came with no sauce or seasoning. Both bathrooms were disgusting.

We were a little worried with some of the low reviews but most seemed to be items other than breakfast. We ordered the sausage & cheese omelet and the biscuits & gravy with eggs, hash browns, and bacon and it was all very good! Our Server was super busy and did a good job. Definitely recommend the breakfast.

Stopped by for what we hoped was a quick bite while traveling through. Both of us even just ordered simple egg dishes to try and make sure it was quick. Not only did it end up being almost a half hour after we ordered to get our food, but our eggs were cold, meaning they had been done and had to have been just sitting there long enough to get cold.

I usually don’t like to hide behind a keyboard, but there was no place to drop my suggestions/comments at the restaurant. The service was marginal at best, and it took over 30 minutes before I received my breakfast after ordering. When I questioned the server about why it was taking so long, she tried to tell me it was because of two other rooms of customers (there was probably a total of 15-20 customers in the entire restaurant) and the kitchen staff was over-taxed. Once I finally received my breakfast, it was luke-warm and the toast was cold. I pass through Burns fairly often but will not be stopping at this restaurant again.

This was a mixed but positive experience for me. The facility was not clean and I got a cross contact allergic response from other food on surfaces. This may not be the safest envirnmentally for those with high sensitivity to food allergens. Honorable mention to COVID-19 - was this place sanitized? I had the Breakfast Burrito with coffee (sans dairy). I was worried about going hungry or without any flavor as I do typically because of my nut and dairy severity. The food was a healthy portion, filling, oh so yummm.

Is a great place to go have dinner with your family? Or whoever maybe just you and your wife you can have some beer I got several kinds. And they make good hamburgers breakfast as good as well. And they also have pies and good desserts. Good place, so if you're ever in Harney County check it out.
